I’m a mom of a 3yo little girl. I’m currently going through a bitter, bitter custody battle to get her back home. I’ve survived DV, physical/mental abuse, threats, plus more. I’d like to be here and connect with others who have endured any of this, who currently are, just anyone who may need a sounding board or friend. No judgement, just support! Please connect with me if you feel comfortable!

I think I’m one of those people, and no matter how much time passes, it really doesn’t seem to get better
We really need to band together as the more time goes by the more I see that there’s a whole lot more to this than I ever thought possible. Our Nation’s children are hurting while those trying to protect them are punished
@Hope14 I agree 100%. Im so sick of feeling so alone in all this.
I'm sorry to say I've seen the same. The very people paid by the state to aid victims seem to actually cause more harm. And the few good ones who really do try to help are hindered by their own authorities. How has this gone so wrong, and how do they keep it so quiet?
Everything seems so quiet and honestly its disturbing. I cannot stand it, but im not even sure how to combat it
Here's an interesting solution if your child is a teenager:
"This story had a relatively happy ending in that Damon learned that if he married, the law would make him emancipated so that the custody order would no longer be valid. At sixteen he was allowed to marry in Nevada and thus earn his freedom from his abusive father."

I am skimming right now, and I am seeing it essentially talk about exposing it in the media. This is something we have personally discussed, but would it gain much attention/positive awareness?
If we had a public relations expert to guide us, they would know exactly how to make a big media impact.
Goldstein is also attempting to educate judges and other court professionals with the latest research.
I think this is what might have the biggest impact on our community if we could get him here. Or perhaps a tele-conference? We need to think of a way to motivate these professionals to attend. Continuing education credits?
